August 28, 2017 -- I'm Totally OK but the Car Isn't

Hey everyone!!!

So... this week has been a little bit of an adventure. Transfers happened, and saying goodbye to Sister Hulstine and Madison was very heartbreaking. I miss everyone so much, and I find myself wondering about our investigators all the time. However, I know they are in good hands, and I am loving the people here as well!

My new area is in Pensacola Florida. I am serving in the Fox Run Ward, and serving in a ward is very different from serving in a Branch! In Madison I learned everyone's names in about a week. I think that it might take me a significantly longer time to learn names here. Especially because many of our investigators have the same name! (Or very close names!) There are two Amayas, an Alyasia and a Valacha, an Abrianna, two Dontrells, one Mary, and one Marylinn, and others whom I haven't even met yet. You all know I am so bad with names/faces, so prayers would be appreciated.

Sister Adams is so incredibly wonderful! We have basically been laughing since we met on Wednesday. she is so confident and so sure of everything that she does. It helps make me feel comfortable as I navigate the unfamiliar waters in a new area. She is from a tiny little town in Montana, and she told me that she learned how to use cross-walks on her mission, because she had never needed to use one before!

On Friday we were involved in a car accident. We are both okay, as well as the other driver, so don't worry too much! We are just a little sore. That makes it a bit difficult to do our work, because we don't have a car anymore and we really aren't in good enough physical shape just yet to bike very much. The members in the Fox Run Ward have been beyond amazing, giving us rides and helping us out whenever and however they can! I am so blessed to be serving in such a welcoming and loving place. The accident also made it so that Sister Adams and I got really close really quickly. It is amazing how seeing how someone reacts in an emergency can help you gain trust! From this experience I know that I can trust Sister Adams with my life, quite literally. :D The soreness is supposed to go away in a few days, so by the time I write next week we should be back to being good as new!!

The wreck also helped me strengthen my faith in the ability of the Lord to make our weaknesses enough. We went to the emergency room to get physicals, just to make sure everything really was okay, and when we were sitting in the waiting room we started talking to a 20 year old girl who was there too. She confided in us that her mother passed away recently, and that she has been struggling with her faith in God and Christ recently. We were able to testify to her that Families are eternal, and that she will see her mother again one day, and that she will still be her mom when they see each other again. The spirit was so incredibly strong, and we were all tearing up a little bit. She said she would be love to see us again and to learn more about the Church. It just goes to show that the Lord makes His work possible always, even when the mouthpieces are two very shaken up teenage girls in the waiting room of an ER. God makes whatever we have enough. Always.

My new address here is:

That is it for this week! I love you all and I miss you very much. Your prayers and emails and letters are always appreciated. God is watching out for each and every one of us, and that is a fact. <3
