November 6, 2017 -- [Insert Cool Subject Line That Makes You Want to Read This]

I am running out of ideas for subject lines... sorry folks!

Anyway, this week has been wonderful. There have been a lot of miracles that have happened, and even though we had almost no scheduled appointments the entire week, we still got a lot of work done. On Monday we were out talking to people and every person we talked to was not at all interested. We were headed home for the day, feeling a bit dejected and run-down with all the rejection and heartache, and right outside our apartment complex we met a man named Jason who accepted a Book of Mormon and wanted to learn more! We had a lesson with him this morning, and he is so sincere about wanting to come closer to Christ! He told us that he has an aunt that is a Mormon, and he has been going to church after church after church trying to find the right one. Imagine his face as we told him about Joseph Smith's experience!

Tuesday was Halloween and we had no appointments or anything because it was a holiday and everyone was busy. We hopped on our bikes, sent a prayer up to Heaven, and we hoped to be led to the people who would want to hear our message. We found three new investigators that day, and found a less-active member who told us that she wants to come back and become temple worthy again. That certainly was a miracle. One of the members of our ward, Sister Platt, reverse trick-or-treated us, which was fun! Especially since we had to be inside by 6 because of the Holiday.

We had another lesson with Austin this week, and he has accepted the invitation to be Baptized!!!! The date we set is January 27th, and he is incredibly happy about it. He told us he feels like this is the right thing to do, and he is excited to learn more and be ready to make covenants with God. He has even stopped saying "The Christian God" and started just referring to our Father in Heaven as "God."

On Saturday we met a sweet lady named Paige who talked with us for about an hour and was interested in learning more. It turned out she actually works with two of the new investigators we found on Tuesday! That was serendipitous. We are excited to meet with her again. The Burton girls are also doing really well and are excited for their baptism! Originally they were going to be baptized on November 18th, but their Uncle is actually going to fly in so that he can be the one to baptize them, and he can only come on December 2nd, so that is when they will be baptized now. We couldn't be happier!

We forgot to take pictures again this week... sorry Mom! We just have a lot of work to do. God really does use the weak and simple to perform His miracles. How absolutely divine is that?
