January 8, 2018 -- All the Good Things
Friends! Family! Various Loved Ones!
This week has been one for the books! So much is going on and we are so so blessed.
Update on all the amazing people we are working with:
-The Burton girls are still on schedule for their baptism on the 20th! They didn't get to do their interviews because they got sick, but they will do it this week and it will be wonderful. I love them so much, my heart just about explodes every time I think about it!
-Autumn Herndon now has a baptismal date for March 3rd! (Sister Adams' birthday!!!) She is so amazing and I love teaching her. It feels like I am sitting across the table from my Sister Jessica and testifying to her about God's love for her and how important she is. I want them to meet and I want them to be best friends and I told Autumn all about Jessica and she says she is down to be besties. I am just so honored to be a part of Autumn's story, and it is such a tender mercy of the Lord to send us someone that reminds me so much of my big sister. God is so good!
-Shelia is on fire! She has read all the way to 1 Nephi 17 (in less than a week!) and is already wanting to plan her baptismal service for March 10th! Her daughter Nicole also told us that if she feels ready by that day, that she will be baptized with her mother. Miracles everywhere!
A really wonderful/stressful thing happened! This week was interviews with our mission president, President Smith, and afterwards HE CAME TO A LESSON WITH US! It was so scary! We were freaking out about it all day, but it ended up being one of the most amazing experiences I have had so far on my mission. He came with us to the Burton's, and talked to the girls about baptism and did a mock baptismal interview with them to help them prepare. He is such a great man, and we are lucky to have him as our leader. We never should have been worried about it, he taught us so much and brought the spirit to the lesson so strongly, I wish he could come and teach with us all the time! Now he wants to know if he can come to their baptism. <3
We also got to go to the Naval Air Space Museum here in Pensacola! It was so fun and our entire district went. That is 15 missionaries! I didn't think I was going to enjoy being in a large district again, but it is fun to be around so many servants of God who love the Lord and are out there doing the same things we do. I love them all. Out of the 15, there are only 3 of us not from Utah though, which makes me laugh.
I love you all so much! Have a great week, and don't forget to read from the Book of Mormon!
