February 19, 2018 -- Phones!

Y'ALL!!!

This week has been CRAZY! On Thursday at Zone Conference, we were trained on how to effectively use technology to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are now a technology mission! You may have seen me on Facebook recently! We are excited to have so many new tools to use in doing God's work! Facebook is going to be a way to reach out to many more people and bring them the light of Christ, so that is how I will be using it at least until I go home. So for personal stuff like if you just miss me and want to talk to me, emails are still the best. :D So I won't really be responding to anyone on Facebook. HOWEVER! I can use it to spread the Gospel and teach lessons! So if anyone back home wants to learn more about the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and they would rather talk to a missionary they know before deciding to meet with the local missionaries, let me know and that might be something that we can arrange. I am here to spread the truth that can be found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. That includes all of you!

Besides that, work continues to press on! We have already been able to do a lesson over Facebook messenger with one of our investigators who is 14! It's hard to meet with her because of her school schedule and age (she can't drive and sometimes we don't have a car) but with the new capabilities we have now, Samantha is now progressing in her testimony! She has a baptismal date for March 24th, which is very exciting and something that would have been impossible without the new phones. I can't believe how smart God is!

Autumn is doing amazing. I told my Mom in an email, I think I came to Fox Run back in August for Hayden and Janea Burton, and I think I have stayed this long because of Autumn. I feel like she and I are going to be friends for a very very long time. She is still excited for her baptism, and she brings us so much joy. I wish you could all meet her! She came hiking with us and the Sisters serving in the Pensacola Ward for our Pday activity, and she came with us to soccer on Saturday. I just love this human so much!

A really sad thing that happened this week was that Elder Morgan was emergency transferred out. It wasn't because of anything he had done, he left to go fix a problem going on with a different missionary. I am really going to miss him! I served with him in this area for 5 months, and he is a spiritual giant. We are sad, but he is going to go on and do great things in his new area!!! The new Elder here in Fox Run is named Elder Wilks.

SO BIG NEWS! I haven't really talked about this much yet because I keep forgetting to put it in my emails, but this Saturday a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will be coming to visit the Florida Tallahassee Mission!! For those who may not know, there are Apostles on the Earth today who are men called of God to be special witnesses of Christ. Just like in Christ's time, these Apostles are called to help Christ regulate His church and spread the Gospel to all the world. The Apostle that I will be meeting this Saturday is JEFFREY R. HOLLAND. For those who don't know him, you should look up some of the talks he has given. I recommend "Songs Sung and Unsung" from the 2017 General Conference. Or anything he has said. It is all wonderful. I am so excited to meet him, it is impossible to describe my excitement accurately! I am sure my next email will be full of spiritual insights I received from his words.

That is all for now folks! I love you all and I miss you more. Talk to you next week! And hey... read the Book of Mormon? And then ask me your questions ;)
