March 12, 2018 -- Adventures!!!
This week has been insane. So many things have happened I do not even know what the most important things are!!!
On Tuesday we went on exchanges, so I spent the day in Gulf Breeze with Sister Call and Sister Kitchen led out the area here in Fox Run for the first time. She did great!! I loved working with Sister Call as well. She is a great person and I great leader, and I learned a lot from her. It was also nice to go to another place for a while. I love Fox Run with all my heart, but I have been here 7 months now and I realized I basically know at least one person that lives on most of the streets here. So it was good to go somewhere and see some new things for a while.
On Wednesday we had interviews with our Mission President. It was amazing, like it always is. Everything President Smith says is always so inspired from God. I am so grateful for him and for his council. When we were talking I mentioned that I have been in my area for 7 months, and he told me that I was about due for a transfer. So, though official transfer calls aren't for a week, I am pretty sure that I am going to be moved soon. So if anyone has anything they want to send me, then send it to the mission address instead of my Fox Run address, just in case. :)
On Friday it was my birthday!!! It was a great day and I loved it. Sister Kitchen made me a lemon cake and Sister Ball from the ward took us out to lunch and gave me a whole pie! We also saw Autumn for a lesson and we worked the music for our special musical number in sacrament. Then we had dinner with all the Elders at my ward mission leader's home, Brother Hostetler. So basically it was the best. :)
Saturday was good too, although I injured myself again. We were playing soccer and I scored a goal and then promptly stepped in a hole and twisted my ankle. So now it is all swollen and it hurts a bit to walk. But I have an ankle brace and a lot of medicine and the swelling has gone down, so that is good. Hopefully by next week it will be completely gone.
Singing on Sunday went great! We also had one of our other investigator families come to church! Her name is Kara, and she is best friends with Anna Gates-Pedicord, Samantha Gates' mother. Kara told us that she has already prayed about the Book of Mormon and she already knows that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. She loved church and she told us she is very excited to come to church again with us next week!
Besides that, life is good. I am keeping on keeping on, and enjoying every second of Fox Run that I can. I'll have official transfer news in my next email. God be with each of you until then ;)
