March 5, 2018 -- Heavenly Father Loves Me and Autumn

Hey All!!!

OKAY so I am so grateful to God for this week!!!! Autumn is doing so so well, and she is beyond excited for her baptism. We went and tried on white jumpsuits for her baptism, and when I saw her in it I just started crying. (And it wasn't even her actual baptism yet!!!) She is so amazing and just makes my heart so happy and I am so grateful that we are going to get to be friends for all eternity. I truly believe with all my heart that I needed to serve in Fox Run for 7 months so that I would get to be here to help Autumn on her journey, and she would be able to help me on mine.

In fact, this week I have been thinking so much about the specific people I have been called to serve. Since we are a Facebook mission now, I was able to reach out to many of the members from the Madison Branch, where I served when I was just a new missionary. I realized that since coming here to the Florida Tallahassee mission, there are so many people that have become a part of who I am, investigators of the church and members alike. I got to friend David Stanford, the man that Sister Hulstine and I taught back in Madison so long ago, and remember what it was like to watch his life-changing conversion. I cannot believe that God allowed me to be a part of this and to see so many miracles in the lives of people I love so much. God is so good y'all. So good.

We planned out Autumn's baptismal service this week too, and she chose the song "My Heavenly Father Loves Me" from the LDS Primary Children's songbook to be sung at her baptism. I just know that God really does love her so much. He loves all the people around me as well. He loves us ALL! And by that logic, He loves me too. How amazing it is to be able to look up at the Heavens and know that there is a Father there, someone who loves me perfectly and knows me completely and who will never leave me forsaken and alone. And he will do the same for each one of you!!

Cool thing I learned this week- the new Elder that just came to Fox Run, Elder Wilks, likes Dear Evan Hansen. We are good friends now. He and Sister Kitchen and I all did a rousing version of "Waving Through a Window" today, and though we may not have sounded the best because we were mostly yelling with enthusiasm, it was very fun. We have to be careful though, because Sister Kitchen and I will be doing a special musical number with Autumn in sacrament meeting this week. We will be doing a GORGEOUS rendition of "Be Still, My Soul". (Autumn is going to be singing in sacrament before she is even baptized!!! Can you tell how amazing she is?)

That is about all the news for this week! When I email you again I will be 20 years old (oh yeah, my birthday is this week!) and I will have been a missionary for the Savior Jesus Christ for 10 whole months. Where did the time go???

And hey-- read the Book of Mormon, okay?
