August 13, 2018 -- There Is Too Much--Let Me Sum Up!

HELLO FRIENDS!!!

It feels so weird for me to be emailing on a Monday again! No campus means no stability in my life. Thank goodness there were so many wonderful things to look forward to this week. I could never express eloquently how incredible this week has been! The sheer amount of amazing could never be explained in an email, but I will do my best.

We had zone conference this week! I love Zone Conference. It's a day set aside for missionaries to do training and work on improving ourselves for a moment, so that we can do our work more effectively and diligently. Sister Hamblin let me borrow one of her dresses and it was wonderful. Pictures attached! I also got to sit next to Sister Case all day, and I adore her. She is just the best human, and my best friend!!! I always tell Sister Hamblin that she needs to find herself a Sister Case, and once she does her mission will be so much more exciting!

On Wednesday, THE PEDICORDS DROVE ALL THE WAY FROM FOX RUN TO VISIT ME! If you have been keeping up with my emails, you will remember the Pedicord Family. Kenny, Anna, Raymond, and Samantha. I found them with Sister Adams back in September of last year! Since then, Anna has become an active member, and Raymond, Kenny, and Samantha have all been baptized. Kenny even got to baptize Raymond! They drove for hours to come have dinner with me, and catching up with them was a dream come true. I have such a testimony that the PEOPLE are what make missions worth it, and The Pedicords are my people, for sure. I couldn't tell you how amazing it was to hug them again and talk to them! Now all I need is to see Autumn. If that happened I would probably literally explode into a mountain of tears. Wow, missions are GREAT!

On Friday, we had Sister's Conference! Every single Sister in the Mission got together and did a zone-conference type thing except BETTER because all my best friends were there! (Well, at the least the ones that haven't gone home yet...) I got to see Sister Shumway and Sister Paulk again! So the squad was back together, with Sister Case and I from Tallahassee and those two beautiful humans from Pensacola. WOW I LOVE THEM! We took a lot of photos so you are welcome! :D Sister Hamblin played piano, and I was struck by how lucky I am to be her companion. She is so humble and diligent and I learn so much from her every single day. Sometimes I seriously have to question who is really training who! It has been hard for her recently because she realized that after her training is over I will only have a transfer left. The Sisters who go home one transfer before me just got their flight plans, which means that in about 40ish days, I will have all the information about exactly when I will be headed home. Am I really that old?!?!

AND I SAW SISTER BOYCE!!! She came to stay in the shack after Sister's Conference so that she could be at Kaleel's baptism on Saturday. I was going to take photos with her, but as always when we get together we just want to talk about life and we forget to document it. I miss her so much, and I wish we could be companions again. We didn't get to talk as much as I would have liked, but that's okay. Eventually we won't be missionaries and I can just call her up whenever I want to have a deep discussion about something intellectually stimulating. Life is so much better when your friends are there to share it with you.

On top of all that, Kaleel got baptized!!! On my Dad's birthday too! That happy birthday Daddy!

The service was really stressful for me and a lot of things went wrong at the last minute, but it ended up okay (like it always does). It took a few tries to get Kaleel all the way under the water, but when it finally happened it was beautiful and wonderful and I couldn't believe how lucky I was to be one of Kaleel's missionaries. It was Sister Hamblin's very first baptism, so that was exciting, and Sister Boyce was there which always makes things infinitely more wonderful. He was confirmed on Sunday, and he was just beaming from ear to ear. You could almost see the new light in his eyes. He told us that he is so excited to keep on learning and keep on progressing towards Christ. His next step is to receive the Priesthood, and he is excited for that opportunity.

I could go on for hours about any and all of these amazing events, but for the sake of time I won't. Also, I'm too lazy to explain exactly which picture goes with which story. Just know that I KNOW that God must love me. I know that he cares about us and that he is taking care of us every single day. I could never thank Him enough for letting me serve a mission. More than anything I am grateful for this miracle of a week. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's kingdom on the Earth. If you don't know that yet I invite you to find out. Until next week friends! And hey- don't forget to read the Book of Mormon!
