August 4, 2018 -- Foam Mountain!
Hello Loves!
This week hasn't been too different. Campus missionary work often melts together in my brain until it's all just one very long day. It's going great though! It's been a little bit more difficult to find people because the summer break is about to start, but we persevere! This week our area is going to get shut down for about two weeks, so get ready for some crazy "Sister-Scott-and-Sister-Hamblin-find-work-wherever-they-can" stories! We also have zone conference and Sister's Conference this week, which I am so excited for! I'll get to see all my old companions and friends! So get ready for a ton of pictures in my next weekly email. :)
Can I just say how much I love service? We don't get to do very much of it here on TCC, because most of our ward members are college students. When you live in a dorm, you don't generally have a lawn that you need help mowing. This week though, we got a text from one of my FAVORITE humans. Her name is Maddie, and she was cleaning out some beanbags that she had just bought. We spent an entire morning COVERED in the foam from these beanbags, and I got to learn how to vacuum very effectively. Maddie said she called us because she knew I would get a kick out of a giant foam mountain, and she was so right. I had foam sticking to my eyelashes and it was one of the funnest things I've ever done.
We have also been trying to experience more of Tallahassee while we are here, and take Sister Hamblin on lots of adventures to welcome her into the mission. We spend most of our meal appointments and Pdays with the FSU Sisters, Sister Neilson and Sister Mifflin. This week we have gone to the mall, gotten Asian Street Tacos, had Acai Bowls, and taken photos by the Midtown Mural here in Tally. It's been really fun! When you never get meal appointments, you make do with fun adventures!
Sister Hamblin is doing really well. She is the most humble person it has ever been my honor to learn from. I feel like she already runs circles around me, and she hasn't even hit double digits in the amount of days she has been in the field. God really knows what He is doing when He sends you companions. I already knew that, but every new friend I meet increases my testimony so much. I'm grateful for her, I'm grateful for TCC, and I can't believe how lucky I am to serve Jesus Christ!
That's it for this week friends! I am too lazy to explain the pictures, so if you have nay questions you can ask. I love you all, I miss you, and hey- make sure to read the Book of Mormon!
