Laurel's Missionary Journey

Y'ALL!!! This week has been CRAZY! On Thursday at Zone Conference, we were trained on how to effectively use technology to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are now a technology mission! You may have seen me on Facebook recently! We are excited to have so many new tools to use in doing God's work! Facebook is going to be a way to reach out to many more people and bring them the light of Christ, so that is how I will be using it at least until I go home. So for personal stuff like if you just miss me and want to talk to me, emails are still the best. :D So I won't really be responding to anyone on Facebook. HOWEVER! I can use it to spread the Gospel and teach lessons! So if anyone back home wants to learn more about the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and they would rather talk to a missionary they know before deciding to meet with the local missionaries, let me know and that might be something that we can arrange. Hello Favorite People!!! This week has been much improved! I am very grateful for increased strength and health and not staying inside all day. It makes me happy. :) We said goodbye to our old district this week. Elder Pranger and Sister Leavitt are home with their families now, which is so strange for me to think about! Especially since I hit my 9 month mark this week! That's right folks- I am halfway. I don't even know how to process that information, so I am ignoring it. :D This week we went and did an activity with the 8-11 year old girls in the ward. We talked to them about missionary work and sharing the Gospel, and they wrote their testimonies on cards to put in the copies of the Book of Mormon that we give out. It was so fun and the girls were so excited about the opportunity to tell others about Christ. Hey Everyone! So some exciting news! My mission is going to be getting facebook! That means I will be back on soon! I am not sure exactly when that will be or what the rules are going to be yet, so for now emailing will still be the best way to reach me. If you see any changes on my facebook it is because I am updating it to be up to mission standards. I will not be responding to messages or anything like that. This week has been hard. We have had a few of our really amazing investigators drop us, and we have still been trying to get over our various sicknesses. I have been getting headaches pretty frequently, and I've had a few migraines. If you could send a prayer Sister Kitchen and I's way, we would really appreciate it. We are pressing forward though! We got transfer calls this morning, and we will both be staying in this area! That means I am still a Foxy run sister for a least another 6 weeks.
